To improve PhotoPrep I suggest you...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.

  2. no response to my Error messages

    I have sent messages & logs in order to address issues I am having since yesterday with being unable to edit my photos. Showing Error messages
    100 and 1009. I need this addressed asap. Not just an email from "Dave" saying it is being addressed. It is not fixed. Bad customer support.

  3. Eyedropper and colorpicker w/ a brush to touchup.

    I use mostly solid black backgrounds that occasionally get dust or fur on them. Would love to be able to sample the background and have a small brush to touch up these little spots.

    Easier to implement than an erase feature I think!

  5. View Compressed image

    Hi Dave - Thank you for adding the compressed feature back to the save option. This is very useful. I tried it this morning and noticed that although, it compresses the file the new file does not appear on screen. It would be helpful to see the new qualtiy of the compressed file before saving.

    Also, when openning the compressed file the quality seems better that the acctual file. I will send you some screen grabs to show what I mean.

  6. Save PNG, TIFF or BMP files

    It seems that currently the new version only saves JPG files. Need to add other formats.

    Add a way to automatically crop an image, based on detecting the main object in the image.

  9. Detect add/remove of memory cards

    This is a missing feature - PhotoPrep should detect when a memory card, floppy, or removable drive is added or removed from the PC and update the drive list.

    At the moment the drive list is created when the app starts up.

    If you want to see drives added after PhotoPrep starts you must restart the app.

  10. Add feature to do circular or oval crops

    For example: to use a circular mask as a crop tool (vs rectangle). After crop background is replaced with solid color.

  12. Browse - add ability to show 20-25 thumbnails

    This is on a 20" monitor.

    IE Fewer, larger thumbnails. Maybe add several more sizes...

  13. Add Crop to Size feature

    Crop to size lets you pick the desired final size of your photo in the Crop tool. When you crop the results are cropped to that size. This will save a step if you know that you will need to crop then resize a photo.

    Add ability to upload photos to sites like FaceBook, Twitter, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.
